Marissa Cordes MS, PT, OCS, ATC
Director of Physical Therapy

Amit Gandhi, MPT, ATCMarissa is a gradate of USC's Department of Physical Therapy. She completed her undergraduate work in Psychology at UCLA. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Clinical Instructor, and a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist awarded by the American Physical Therapy Association. She previously worked with Collegiate and High School athletes at Biola, Mt. Sac, St. Paul HS, and West Covina HS. She was also a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves, Army Medical Specialist Corp with the 349th General Hospital in Los Angeles. Marissa also enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and travelling cross country with her family.

Ferin Zampese Skinner, PT

Ferin Zampese Skinner, PTFerin is a Dutch trained physical therapist who specializes in lower extremity injuries. She is on the Foot and Ankle Team here at OSI and enjoys sport specific rehabilitation especially soccer and running injuries because she is able to glean from her experience with playing soccer and participating in triathlons since 1994.


Nash Quines, PTA

Nash Quines, PTANash Quines studied Exercise Science, Scientific Basis at La Sierra University before transferring to Loma Linda University where he graduated in 2000. He has specialized in orthopedic physical therapy and aquatic therapy since graduating from LLU. He has taken numerous continuing education classes in various areas including aquatic therapy, treatment for shoulder and knee conditions, and treatment of lumbar spine dysfunction through the McKenzie Institute. Nash is also certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health/Fitness Instructor. Areas of interest include: aquatic therapy, shoulder dysfunction, lumbar and SI dysfunction, total joint replacement, and performance enhancement. He also enjoys running, triathlons and weight training.


Glen O. Cutshall

Glen O. Cutshall, PT, DCGlen leads our spinal rehab team and brings 10 years of experience treating cervical, thoracic and lumbar conditions. Glen attended UCI, graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor's degree in Social Ecology. He then attended Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1994. With a desire to be able to offer more to his patients, he continued his education at Long Beach State, earning his Master of Physical Therapy Degree in 2001. His clinical knowledge continues to grow, being fostered by his co-workers and physicians at OSI. He also appreciates the great variety of patients seen here, from the "week-end warrior" to professional athlete. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors as a swimmer, biker, runner, fisherman and hiker.


Jeff Orville, BS, PTA

Jeff Orville, BS, PTAJeff is a graduate of Cal State University Fullerton, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education with a minor in Exercise Physiology in 1992. This followed his career as a professional baseball player, in the St. Louis Cardinal and Chicago White Sox organizations. Jeff's professional interests include continued pursuit of understanding of shoulder pathology, biomechanics and clinical rehabilitation. An active athlete, he continues to compete in tri-athlons, road / mountain bike racing and baseball. His greatest joy is found spending time with his wife Jan and their children Austin and Emily.


Diane Dobner, OTR/L, CHT

Diane Dobner, OTR/L, CHTDiane has over 30 years of experience treating upper extremity conditions including: fractures, arthritis, nerve and tendon injuries, burns. She graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1979 with a BS degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked at an outpatient clinic in Gary, Indiana after college, being exposed to patients with a variety of industrial and traumatic hand injuries and became interested in pursuing hand therapy. She was one of the first therapists to pass the Hand Therapy Certification Examination in 1990 and has attended numerous conferences on therapy for the hand and upper extremity. She likes the close communication with the physicians at OSI which helps to promote improved patient care. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, training her dog, quilting and crafts, camping and traveling with her family.


Brian Kim, PT

Brian Kim, PT Brian Kim attended UC San Diego for his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Economics in 2006. He then attended Cal State Long Beach for his Master of Physical Therapy Degree in 2009. He was involved in a Laser treatment study while attending Long Beach which was awarded as the top poster in 2009 at the CPTA conference. He is interested in furthering his studies in orthopaedic and sports therapy. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball, volleyball, and guitar.


Beth Marchian, PT Assistant

Beth Marchian, PT AssistantBeth is a graduate of the Cerritos College Physical Therapist Assistant program. She has extensive experience working with complicated Physical Therapy diagnoses, in a variety of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy settings. Beth enjoys playing soccer and cycling.


Juli Boyer M.S., ATC, PA-C

Juli Boyer M.S., ATC, PA-CJuli Boyer is a Physician Assistant working with Dr. Shepard at the Orthopedic Specialty Institute. Juli works directly with Dr. Shepard in the diagnosis, treatment and management of athletic injuries. She also assists Dr. Shepard in the operating room at Main Street Specialty Surgery Center.

Juli’s background is based in athletic training. She graduated cum laude from San Diego State University with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training. After graduation, she headed to the Midwest to attend Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. While there, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Purdue Women’s Soccer. She graduated from Purdue with a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Pedagogy. Juli accepted a position at UCLA and lent her athletic training skills to both the Women’s Water Polo and Women’s Soccer teams. She left UCLA to pursue her education to become a Physician Assistant. Juli attended Loma Linda University where she received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Sciences.

She continues to be passionate about optimizing patients’ ability to participate in healthy active lifestyle through care and prevention of athletic injury. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants.
