  • Dr. Parvaresh is an extremely skilled and personable surgeon. After breaking my shoulder (upper right humerus) I was referred to another Hoag orthopedic surgeon who concluded that either I needed a whole shoulder replacement or just to let it heal naturally with the break. He scheduled to see me three weeks later to make that determination. During that time I searched for a second opinion and found Dr. Parvaresh and saw him two weeks after my shoulder injury. He recommended shoulder surgery to reset the bone using plates and screws. He said the bone was healing and there was a short window of time to get in there and reset it so he recommended the surgery be performed right away. I have health issues and considerations but he felt it would not be a problem After weighing the matter and the recommendations from the two surgeons over the weekend, I notified him Monday morning that let’s move ahead with the surgery. His staff was very professional and efficient and they were able to line up all the paperwork and test to be done so that a few days later, Friday he performed the surgery at Hoag orthopedic Institute (Irvine). It has now been almost three months after surgery and I am so very happy to have found Dr. Parvaresh to perform this surgery. I have not had any complications and can’t believe the range of motion he was able to give me. Am so glad I did not go with the first surgeons recommendation to just let it heal naturally. Highly, highly recommend Dr. Parvaresh. His skill and experience combined with his confident, calm and friendly bedside manner put my heart and mind at ease. I can’t take in all the technical information on what he did, which was amazing, so I told him it was as if he opened up my shoulder, sprinkled his special fairy dust on it, and closed it up.Thank you very much Dr. Parvaresh!

  • Dr. Kevin Parvaresh right away gave me the impression that he would be a kind surgeon when he came in and introduced himself and shook my hand. He listened to the history of my orthopedic problem and did the appropriate exam. He went over the X-rays and explained the findings . And subsequently discussed the treatment he recommended in a comprehensive manner . Since it wasn’t the surgical intervention I expected , he patiently answered my questions and showed part of the surgical procedure on the computer. He showed compassion and understanding as I explained my post op constraints and concerns. We don’t see too many surgeons with his kind demeanor in dealing with patients anymore . And I’m glad he was the surgeon highly recommended to me by a couple of other doctors.

  • I have been a patient of Dr. Parvaresh for a couple of years now. From the beginning I have been pleased with both him and his staff. Dr. Parvaresh listens attentively to my concerns, gives me options for next steps, and I never feel rushed through an appointment though I know he is very busy. Dr. Parvaresh did an extensive repair on my hip and a torn gluteal tendon. He was clear on the surgery and recovery process, and though he spoke with me post-surgery he knew I was still loopy so he also called me the next day to be sure I was clear on instructions, and he was involved in my physical therapy, keeping apprised of exactly what was to be done and that his instructions were being carried out properly. I can with a absolute certainty recommend Dr. Parvaresh and his staff for your lower extremity orthopedic needs.
