
Meghan Bender, PA-CPhysician Assistant
Meghan Bender is a board-certified physician assistant working with Dr. Parvaresh. Meghan works directly with Dr. Parvaresh in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of sports medicine conditions of the shoulder, hip and knee, as well as general trauma and fracture care. She has privileges at Hoag Orthopedic Institute, St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, and Main Street Specialty Surgery Center where she assists Dr. Parvaresh in the operating room.
Meghan earned her bachelor degree from University of California, Berkeley. After graduating, she worked in emergency services providing 9-1-1 ambulance coverage for Orange County Fire Authority and Los Angeles County Fire, and in the emergency department at Long Beach Medical Center, providing trauma and acute care for adult and pediatric populations. Meghan also worked in clinical research, working as a lead study coordinator in clinical trials prior to pursuing her graduate education.
Meghan received her Master of Clinical Medical Science as a Physician Assistant from Barry University in Miami, Florida where she was the recipient of the Program Director’s Award, Vernon A. and Virginia M. Culver Memorial Scholarship, and was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society.
Meghan is a NCCPA certified Physician Assistant and licensed by the State of California Physician Assistant Board. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, California Academy of Physician Assistants, and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery. In her free time, Meghan enjoys staying active and playing sports. She loves spending time with her friends and family on the boat in the summertime and heading up to the mountains for skiing and snowboarding in the winter.
